Book the An Island hopping adventure in Cape Verde: Sao Vicente, Santo Antao, Fogo, Santiago and Sal trip

Join a full day island tour of Sal ! 
- Departure everyday at 10am and return at sunset. 
- Includes entrance fees to Burracona and Pedra De Lume, lunch with a drink, showers, sunset cocktail, transfers by air-conditioned mini bus, covered jeep or Land Rover to and from your hotel or accommodation.
- Your tour starts in Santa Maria with a visit to the pier :  here you will see the fishermen coming in with their catch. Then we drive to the north of the island to visit Burracona and visit the beautiful Blue Eye lagoon. For lunch it is a short drive to the quaint traditional fishing village of Palmeira. In the afternoon, your journey will take you to the east of the island where you will visit Pedra De Lume, in the dormant volcano you can experience floating in the therapeutic waters of the salt lakes – showers are available after.
On the return journey, you will be stopping off at various points of interest to take photos of the beautiful views of Mount Leon, Kite Beach to see the wind surfers and finish off your day at Ponta Preta with a traditional cocktail where you can relax and watch the sunset.

Enjoy a  horseback ride on Sal Island ! 
- Departure from Monday to Saturday (excluding Sunday) at 4pm for about 2 hours. 
- Guided horse ride starting and finishing at the stable located a 3-minute drive from Santa Maria. Transfer from/to your accommodation included. Comprehensive safety briefing prior to the ride. Helmet provided and compulsory.
- This trail starts with an easy and gentle ride across the desert formed by sand from the  Sahara Desert  carried by the trade winds. Leave your tracks on the sand dunes and you will arrive at the "Big Salt Flats of Santa Maria" where local people work everyday to satisfy the demand for salt for the whole archipelago. You ride up a small hill where you will admire an amazing view of the salt flats.
Leaving the salt flats, you will head up to Costa da Fragata, better known as Kite Beach for the great number of kite surfers that adorn the sky with their colourful kites during the windy season. An endless golden sand beach trek awaits where you will hear the roar of the waves and the most experienced riders will have the chance to gallop through the surf. Less experienced riders or those who just want to relax and enjoy the landscape will ride gently along the shore at walking gait with the assistance of the guides.
Once you arrive at the foot of the Serra Negra Natural Reserve you will head back to the stables riding through flat land with green bushes and a small creek where it is common to meet cows, donkeys and endemic birds of Cape Verde.
A fun trail to discover the south/east part of the island suitable for all adventurous riders!

- Departure everyday at 9am or noon for approximately 2 hours (including transfers  from/to your accommodation in Santa Maria).

- Departure everyday at 8:45am for approximately 3 hours;

- Explore the charming and vibrant Santa Maria on a relaxing guided cycling excursion. Sample the local life as you cycle through Santa Maria, the Salinas, the world famous Ponta Preta and many more places of interest. A fantastic way to get to know the town and what it has to offer. 

Join a rare and unforgettable experience on the beaches of Sal for your chance to see the nesting Loggerhead turtle.
- During the nesting season only, from July to October. This tour involves walking on the beach at night and is not suitable for children under 10 years. A dedicated family walk is possible, please contact us.
