On this Provence day trip holiday, your bike ride begins in the village of Bonnieux, which takes center-stage in Peter Mayle’s A Year in Provence. The Luberon mountains are sprinkled with some of the most majestic hilltop villages in the country, and this is a ride which includes a few: Roussillon, and its ochre-colored homes. Gordes, and its majestic golden-stone homes set dizzyingly above the Calavon valley. Ménerbes, and its elegant centuries-old buildings. And Lacoste, crowned by the ruins of the castle of the Marquis de Sade.
We take the time to visit each of the villages, while taking back country roads between each, lined with orchards and vines.

  • Loop Ride - Bonnieux > Roussillon > Gordes > Ménerbes > Lacoste > Bonnieux
    45km / 27.9 miles - Ascent: +730 m / Descent: -730 m
  • You meet your guide in Bonnieux and start your cycling in Provence
  • Depending on our pace, you will be back in Bonnieux and finished by 5 to 6 pm
