We love the villages on this trip:  Sainte Croix du Verdon : a pretty & peaceful little village perched at an altitude of 513 metres, the village moved to the shores of the lake in the sixteenth century and olive farming has been present here for thousands of years. 
Les Salles sur Verdon with a fascinating yet bitter history, it was sacrificed to the production of electricity and disappeared under the reservoirs of the Ste Croix dam. It was then rebuilt in the 1970's and protected from the water. 
And Moustiers, with its historical monuments and beautiful hand-made ceramics.
