You explore the 'flowery coast' between the luxurious Deauville, the coast on the D-Day landing beaches and finally the beautiful Cotentin coast, with idyllic walks through wild landscapes along the coast. You start by discovering the coast of Trouville and the picturesque Honfleur. The authentic town of Trouville sur Mer is the first base of this trip, a charming little fishing port with a long sandy beach. From here, you set off on an exploration with a series of beautiful walks.
You then take the train to Bayeux and discover this charming town miraculously spared by the bombings, with its majestic Gothic cathedral, and the famous Bayeux Tapestry. You explore the coast to discover the D-Day landing beaches and the remnants of the Second World War at Arromanches, Longue sur Mer and Saint Laurent sur Mer. You also visit Port en Bessin, a small port focused mainly on scallop fishing. A thought-provoking, easy level walking holiday combining nature and history.
You continue onwards to Cherbourg by train, a town rich in martime history, where tradition blends well with modernity. You explore the beautiful Cotentin coast, with idyllic walks through wild landscapes along the coast, via small granite stone villages and through pastures sculpted by low stone walls: a breathtaking scenery of land and sea.
