Provence Van Gogh cycling: an Impressionist's dream - guest reviews

Diane & Michael - May 2023

We found the roadbook clear and with the help of the GPS files, we found our way easily.
The highlights for us : Riding from Isle sur la Sorgue to Bonnieux via Gordes and Roussillon and the next day from Bonnieux to Venasque. The scenery is spectacular. The choice of accommodation was great with the exception of Hotel Le Cesar. The route was well planned with lanes and quiet country roads. The poppy fields at this time of the year made it very special.
Spring in Provence is very special with the cherries, strawberries, fields of poppies and lavender. The scenery, food, wine and people were fantastic

Yes, I would definitely travel again with Intura Travel and I have already recommended you to my friends. We had a wonderful holiday! Everything was well planned and organized.
Thank you so much!"

Sue & Dave & friends - Sept 2019

"Fantastic trip thank you. Martha awesome to deal with. The highlights for us were long lunches, history tour, fantastic towns and villages. We will be back in 3 years"

Margaret, Maria & Paula - April 2019

"We had a fantastic trip, the ladies who organised it were extremely helpful (thank you) and I have already recommended them to several other people who are interested in this type of holiday. We are amateur cyclists who wanted to dip our toes into it and enjoy the sights / food....we were not disappointed - FAB!! Restaurants in town were fabulous. Martha and Nadia were extremely helpful! The higlights were : Beautiful scenary, the resturants recommended during the day turned out to be gems and the fantastic Gentleman who provided the bikes - he was very helpful/kind!"

Fergal and Robert - September 2018

"Everything was very well organised including information, bikes, hotels, restaurants and luggage transfers. I will use you again!! Thank you. I have already recommended you"

Pauline & Rex - May 2018

"Excellent bikes and the route was well planned and easy to follow. All the accommodation was excellent. The hosts at all destinations were helpful. A special thank you, please pass on to Hotel Le pre des Baux Maussane to the lady of the house for doing some much needed washing for us. We would never have experienced French hosptiality to this extent at all the destinations and it was an adventure to get off the beaten track, especially going through some of the smaller villages where we stopped for coffee or lunch. Trying the chocolate eclairs for morning tea in St Etienne du Gres was scrumptous.  I do some biking but my partner although reasonalbly fit does not bike, this trip was challenging enough for both of us, loved the backroads and bike paths, not so keen on the main roads, and just hung on on the small amount of gravel road. A tour of France which cannot be experienced by car or staying in the major cities. We saw a side of French hospitality and scenery which many miss, by getting out into the countryside. "

Jo, Michael & friends - September 2017

"Wow! We have just completed our cycling trip and we absolutely loved every second. Thank you for your outstanding organisation: everything worked according to plan from the bikes, to our luggage, to the hotels and the restaurants. The highlights for us were: the Hotel in Saint Remy and in Avignon.
The quality of the bikes - and all the equipment was so impressive. The towns and villages we passed through were quaint, picturesque and everything you promised it would be! We also loved your directions and recommendations of where to go and what to see. We visited the hammam spa in Arles which we loved. We would highly recommend this trip to everyone and will definitely post on trip advisor."

Michael & Celia - May 2017

"We really enjoyed the cycling and found your trip to be well thought out. The information in the road book was full and complete and we also liked the extra information given about each location. The hotels were all of a good standard and very comfortable. The restaurants were also good."

Jane & Adam - April 2017

"We really enjoyed the itineraries and it was very useful to have places of interest written up on the directions. The Fleur de Thym was outstandingly good. The village of Maussane was our favourite. We enjoyed the quieter lanes and cycling by the river, and visiting all the villages. The bicycles were very good and we had no problems whatsoever with them. The gears were excellent. We thought the organisation and directions were excellent. We liked the feeling that we were travelling independently, without any unnecessary interaction with the office."

Martha, Dirk & kids - June 2015

“Our day between Maussane and Arles was fantastic. The kids loved the aquaduct in the middle of our day. The hostess at Hotel Sous Les Figuiers was exceptional. Mas De Peint and Hotel Mangio Fango were also wonderful. But Hotel Sous Les Figuiers was exceptional. And the Flamingo's in the camargue were fantastic !. What a wonderful experience for our kids - thank you so much !!! Thank you so much for a great journey for our kids. What a wonderful adventure we had!”

Alex & Kate - May 2015

“Finding our bags on arrival at each place was great. Arriving at the selected restaurants and being warmly welcomed as Intura's clients as if they had been really looking forward to having us.”

Bruce & Amanda - May 2015

“We have just finished our final day of bike ride and a gorgeous dinner in Arles.
We have loved every minute, the bike ride, the restaurants. You have sent us to restaurants that were incredible and the accommodation has been excellent.”

Howie & Virginia - May 2015

“This was an amazing bike ride for us, as a result of the scenery along the route, combined with your choices for the dinners and the excellent accommodations. Thank you so much for contributing to a great vacation.”
