What we like about the set up of this trip is that it begins in Orta, the lesser-known, lesser-visited of the 3 lakes, so you kind of feel like you're exploring somewhere quite special. Then on to Lake Maggiore, famous for the Borromean islands of course, but we also lead you up on the heights for some breathtaking views, and then, the grand finale in Lake Como, the better known and most visited of the 3 lakes. This is a trip to enjoy at your own pace, with your own car. No taxi pick up times to abide by and no where to be other than exactly where you want to be. It is a fantastic overwiew of the Lombardy region that will undoubtably leave you wanting to explore further.
