You begin the first 2 days by exploring the majestic Lake Maggiore, with it's stunning villas, exquisite gardens and the magnificent Borromean Islands. You spend the final 2 days on the shores of Lake Orta, its charm and beauty lesser known but just as breathtakingly beautiful as Maggiore. Part mountain, part bourgeois, it is authentic and peaceful. And for one night in between, we add a little more adventure, a little more 'wow' and a lot less fuss, with a stay in a mountain refuge with simple yet mouthwatering Italian cuisine and incredible views over the Alps.
