Portugal cycling holiday: along the Algarve coastal trails - guest reviews

The Algarve is a great region for a cycling trip all year round thanks to its exceptional micro climate. We have created this itinerary, deliberately avoiding the central, more urbanized part of the Algarve, to show you the Sotavento to the east of the region, with the Ria Formosa Natural Park and the well preserved Barlavento to the west.

It’s an easy cycling itinerary, mainly along the Ecovia - a paved cycle trail through the Algarve along small roads and tracks. We felt that by staying 3 nights in Tavira, you can discover many hidden gems around that area and really get up close and personal with the landscapes, the culture and the everyday life, with plenty of time to sit and relax with a drink and enjoy cooling off with a swim!
